Join Us for a Celtic Genealogy Cruise

MAY 4 - 16, 2019

Visit your ancestral homeland by sea - just like your ancestors did! This cruise allows opportunities to research your ancestors while in port.

The cruise begins and ends in Dublin where there will be the opportunity to visit the EPIC Emigration Museum, consult with experts or conduct research at the Irish Family History Centre.

From Dublin, we sail to Belfast where there is the opportunity to consult with experts from the Ulster Historical Foundation or to visit the Titanic Centre.

Next we head across the Irish Sea to Glasgow where we will head to the Mitchell Library for the chance to research at the Glasgow City Archives. Those who don't have ancestors from Glasgow can spend time in the City or head to Loch Lomond for the day.

We have a full day at sea between Glasgow and Inverness and there will be plenty of learning opportunities onboard, including a hands on workshop on reading old handwriting. Consultations with Irish and Scottish genealogists will be available as well.

In Inverness, there is the opportunity to research at the Highland Archives or to visit the Culloden Battlefield and the 4000 year old Clava Cairns.

Then we head to Edinburgh where research opportunities await at the ScotlandsPeople Centre. Those who don't have ancestors from Scotland can enjoy a special Outlander Tour or can simply take in the sights of this historic city.

Following Edinburgh, we again have a full day at sea and again learning opportunities will be available onboard as we sail down the coast and across the English Channel to Le Havre France. While there won't be research opportunities here, this was a major port for people emigrating from France. Day excursions will be available while in port.

Then it we head back across the channel to Southampton, another major emigration port for those with UK ancestry.

Next we sail to Guernsey where we will spend a day sightseeing before heading back to Ireland and into the port of Cobh. In historic Cobh there is the chance to kiss the Blarney Stone or to visit the Cobh Heritage Museum.

All too soon, we are back to Dublin where the cruise ends. We will disembark with an enriched understanding of our Celtic ancestors, a deeper connection to our Celtic homelands and memories to last a lifetime.

Ready to book? Don't delay, limited cabins remain. AND as an added bonus, for anyone who books a balcony or higher level cabin, Princess is offering a FREE drinks package (worth $1600!). The Sip and Sail offer ends September 5th.
